My Super Powers Son

El Cangri loves to dress up and it’s super fun to have him be a different character each day. His favorite dress ups are a reversible cape with Superman on one side, and Batman on the other. He also loves a Batman hood we once found on the Costco parking lot. He also plays a lot with a “luchador” mask Jeff bought him in Mexico a while ago. We have a small collection of costumes from past Halloweens, and he uses them all, except the princess dresses, of course.

I love his happy, free, creative spirit because when he’s playing, I’m amazed at the capacity children have making up situations and solving their own problems. When he’s playing, he’s happy and we are all happy.
These spirits that Heavenly Father has sent to us are each so special and precious in his/her own way, and I try to do the best I can for them. Some days are better than others, but I enjoy the experiences I have with my children, even the non-stop crying. I’m not a masochist, but even in those moments when I feel I reach the end of the rope, I feel a calmness and peace enveloping me. On days when I have a hard time, I feel the angels give me extra love, compassion, patience and faith to deal with whatever issues I have to resolve.
It was before his birth that Jeff and I strayed away from the things society tells us we should do, and we searched for our own path. Our first baby born at home, non-vaccinated, cloth diapered, and also the one who has had the greatest issues with foods, allergies, etc. I know Heavenly Father was preparing us for this child when we started learning of a different way to do things. I needed those tools to receive this precious kid who is so bright and tender and loving.
He does have Super Powers. He can love unconditionally and make friends everywhere. He trusts Jeff and I so much that it humbles me to have this trust placed in me. I can’t believe he will be four years old next week; I feel he was just a baby a few days ago. I love this child so much, I’m so happy he chose me to be his mother, his guide on this journey we call life. I’m happy he’s my guide too, my teacher, my own super hero.

Thank you for your comment. And yes I am on facebook if you haven’t found me already I’ll look you up 🙂 On a side note who did you have deliver your last two babies? I’m thinking of possibly switching midwives.
