It’s no secret I love music. I joined a facebook page of the radio show my brother and I used to listen to when we were teenagers. The DJ played at several clubs, and I only attended one of them, Ibiza, when I was 15. The fans of the page post videos and clips of the music we used to listen to and my mind travels to those years, so long ago (well, not too long really). When I’m writing/thinking/plotting/editing my stories, I listen to different kinds of music to inspire me. Today, at another facebook page I follow (I know, I know!) I read this amazing book review by Keane’s Tim Rice-Oxley. He finds the inspiration for the songs he writes when he reads books! So musicians and writers inspire each other with the music they write with words or notes. Who would have thought! That’s a cycle, not vicious, but of creativity.

Wow that is really cool. I love Keane's music.
I love that. I'm almost always listening to music when I write.
Ahh, Ibiza, I've always wanted to go. 🙂 Music inspires my writing too. Moby, Blue October, Ani Difranco, Frank Sinatra. My tastes are all over the charts. I think it would be the biggest compliment in the world if a musician ever created a song based on one of my books. Sigh.
